Where is the Capital Ballroom located?

We are located at 858 Yates Street, Victoria, B.C.

Prohibited Items?

We don’t allow illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, spray paint, laser pointers, weapons of any kind (management reserves the right to define), vapor pens and smokeless cigarettes. Please use good judgment.

What do I do if I lost an item at the Capital?

Where can I find the set times?

Set times are always at the discretion of the artists and are generally posted the day of or a few hours before the event in the event page and on our socials. Please note that set times are subject to change!

Where do I pick up my will call tickets?

Will call tickets are available for pick-up on the night of the show at our box office once doors open.  Please be prepared to provide government-issued photo identification and the credit card that was used to purchase the tickets.

Can I give my tickets to someone else?

If you have hard tickets, you can do what you want with your tickets. If you want to transfer ownerships of tickets purchased online, please contact AdmitONE.

Where can I purchase tickets?

Tickets can be purchased on AdmitONE or AdmitONE Community

Are shows at the Capital general admission standing or seated?

Shows at the Capital Ballroom are currently admitted as GA. We do have limited tables and chairs. The seating is available on a first come, first-served basis. The floor area is standing only. There are certain shows that will be seated. You will be informed in advance.

Is the Capital accessible?

Please note that the Capital is not wheelchair accessible at this time. We understand the importance of providing an inclusive environment and we deeply regret any limitations the building may pose. If you have any specific accessibility concerns or require assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us at accessibility@themrggroup.com and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Do you have parking?

We do not have a dedicated space for parking, however there is street parking available close to the venue.

Once inside, can I leave the venue and come back?

Yes, we allow ins and outs – Please make sure to get the proper stamp from our security guards. No drinks are allowed to leave the building.

Can I bring in my own food and/or drinks?

No, we do not allow any outside food or drinks.

Do you sell food?

We do not sell food.

Am I allowed to film or photograph my favorite band?

Personal point and shoot, iPhones or smartphones are allowed to capture the event! However, professional audio or video recording is only permitted with prior approval through the promoter. This includes any external flashes, lenses, gopro’s and selfie sticks! Do not call the venue to ask for permission. As the camera policy for each event can vary, we recommend contacting info@thecapitalballroom.com for more details. Complete the media request form in advance if you'd like to cover the show.

Will the band be selling merchandise?

99/100 times yes, but we don’t know until they load it off their bus. If available, it will be set up in the merchandise area.

Is there a coat check?

Yes, coats and bags can be checked near the entrance. Cost is $4 per item. Please expect a wait to retrieve your jacket when the show is over as it takes time to give out all the jackets and personal belongings.

Do you accept credit cards and debit cards?

Yes!

I forgot to bring cash! Does the venue have an ATM?

Yes! We have an ATM machine at the entrance.

Do you accept US Cash?

Yes!

Can I smoke or vape in the venue?

No, it is illegal to smoke anything inside the venue. If you violate this, you will be immediately escorted out of the building and not allowed back in. You will not get a ticket refund either. Please DO NOT smoke inside the venue!
